Qualified with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and worked at Armstrong Whitworth for 4 years. It was here that I learnt about computers and subsequently joined Urwick Orr & Partners who were one of the first Management Consultancy companies in the country. They were subsequently bought out by Price Waterhouse. I was originally involved in designing and building production control systems and then got involved with financial institutions including South African Reserve Bank, HSBC Bank, United Friendly Insurance and many more. In 1987, I was asked if I would go to Australia to set up a consultancy practice in financial services which I did and was there for 12 years. When I retired in 1999, we decided to return home to the UK and found the perfect house here in Hampton Lucy.
